Andrew M. Meinzer is an attorney practicing Estate Planning, Trust and Will drafting, Probate, Conservatorship, Trust Administration, Medi-Cal Planning, Special Needs Planning, Elder Law, and Estate Litigation, in Torrance, California. He was admitted to practice law in 1999 by the State Bar of California. He was also admitted in 1999 to practice before the United States District Courts for the Central, Northern, Eastern, and Southern Districts of California.
During the last ~25 years Mr. Meinzer has focused his practice exclusively on helping families with planning for, and later carrying out, distribution of assets after death and management of personal care and assets during lack of capacity, while preserving government benefits of people with special needs.
Mr. Meinzer is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Los Angeles County Bar Association, and South Bay Bar Association. Further, Mr. Meinzer is a member of the South Bay Estate Planning Council.
Mr. Meinzer graduated in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland, and he graduated in 1999 with a Juris Doctor degree from Southwestern University School of Law. During law school, Mr. Meinzer served as a Notes and Comments Editor for the Southwestern University Law Review and was a brief writer for the Moot Court honors program. He also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Michael Farrell of the Los Angeles Superior Court, Law and Motion Department.
Before attending law school, Mr. Meinzer served in the United States Navy as an audio-visual director for the White House Communications Agency. At the White House Communications Agency, he planned and executed presidential and vice-presidential appearances at the White House and worldwide for the George H. W. Bush and William J. Clinton administrations.
